Return Your Uniforms Now!

I am still collecting Track & Field (and Cross Country) Uniforms. Your last chance to turn them in will be at the Awards Banquet on June 7th. After that, debt slips will be issued through the school financial office. If you can't make it to the Awards Banquet, you MUST drop your jersey off at my house BEFORE THE DATE OF THE BANQUET. If you need my address, contact me directly.

As stated before, no one will be permitted to retain any uniforms. This is a NEW POLICY. If you want to receive your same jersey number next year, keep your return receipt and you will have the opportunity to request the same number at the start of the 2012 season.

DON'T FORGET TO RECEIVE AND KEEP YOUR JERSEY RECEIPT.

2011 Awards Banquet

The Awards Banquet will be held on Tuesday, June 7th! We are starting at 6:00pm with a pot-luck dinner. THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT!

Location: WHS Cafeteria

Food assignments are as follows:

Freshmen: Main Course (ideas: casserole, chicken, pizza, spaghetti, etc...)

Sophomores: Main Course (ideas: casserole, chicken, pizza, spaghetti, etc...)

Juniors: Dessert and/or Soda

Seniors: Paper Products (plates, forks, napkins, cups)

If you are wondering how much to bring, consider this: Count how many people are attending from your family, then ask yourself "if this was the only thing I was going to serve for dinner, how much would it take to fill them?" That is aproximately how much you should bring as your pot-luck item.

Uniform Return Date

Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind you that we are meeting at TAK on Monday the 16th right after school to turn in uniforms. You will receive a receipt for the NEW jersey you signed for in April. Be sure to bring any other old uniform you may have also. We are looking for New and Old Track uniforms as well as the Cross Country uniforms. We DO NOT want any uniforms to stay at home this summer. TURN IN EVERYTHING YOU HAVE.

Exceptions: Any athletes who qualified for NCS will keep their NEW jersey until our Track & Field Award Dinner on June 7th.

Spaghetti Dinner Tickets Distributed 4-5-11

The WHS Husky Track & Field team's largest fundraising event is being held on Friday, May 6th. EACH MEMBER on the roster is tasked with selling 5 tickets. You can sell them to your teachers, family members, neighbors, etc... Contact me for additional tickets, if needed.

There were 2 flyers included with the ticket envelope that has all the details needed to sell them. Be sure to note that a ticket will provide a fun night of food and entertainment. The dinner menu is Pasta, Sauce, Bread, Salad & a drink. There will also be a bake sale going on where you can purchase a tasty treat.

This event will also include a raffle, silent auction and entertainment provided by members on the team.

You MUST RETURN your ticket envelope with money inside no later than Thursday, April 21st. This is the last day of school before spring break!

Team Details:

3:00pm - set up cafeteria
5:00pm - arrive dressed appropriately (see below)
Boys: Button down shirts with collar (tie optional)
Girls: Dress, skirt or nice slacks
5:30 - 7:00 Serve, sell, help where asked
8:00pm - clean up cafeteria

Warm-Ups & Logo-Wear Distributed

Warm-Ups & Logo-Wear was distributed today, Tuesday, 3/15/11 at practice. I still have a few items that need to be picked up. If you no longer need or want the items you purchased, I may be able to re-sell them for you as some orders did not get placed in time. Please let me know.

XC Stat Required

All team members must register on the XC Stat website. This will be used as our method of tracking individual stats & records as well as a method of electronic communication.

Each day you are NOT registered, you will be required to perform an additional strength building exercise. (i.e., on Monday, 30 push-ups were required if you were not registered)
