Return Your Uniforms Now!
As stated before, no one will be permitted to retain any uniforms. This is a NEW POLICY. If you want to receive your same jersey number next year, keep your return receipt and you will have the opportunity to request the same number at the start of the 2012 season.
DON'T FORGET TO RECEIVE AND KEEP YOUR JERSEY RECEIPT.
Thanks, Mrs. Taylor
2011 Awards Banquet
Location: WHS Cafeteria
Food assignments are as follows:
Freshmen: Main Course (ideas: casserole, chicken, pizza, spaghetti, etc...)
Sophomores: Main Course (ideas: casserole, chicken, pizza, spaghetti, etc...)
Juniors: Dessert and/or Soda
Seniors: Paper Products (plates, forks, napkins, cups)
If you are wondering how much to bring, consider this: Count how many people are attending from your family, then ask yourself "if this was the only thing I was going to serve for dinner, how much would it take to fill them?" That is aproximately how much you should bring as your pot-luck item.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks, Joyce Taylor

Each day you are NOT registered, you will be required to perform an additional strength building exercise. (i.e., on Monday, 30 push-ups were required if you were not registered)
Contact Coach Ben if you are having trouble with the registration process.
Sign-in, Sign-up & Sign-out
Everyone needs to be responsible for signing in on the attendance sheets each day. You should never sign-in for anyone else, just yourself. We are a very large roster and need to know who is serious in the effort of making this year's team LEAGUE CHAMPIONS. Please review the attendance requirements listed in Team Policy posted on 2/7/11.
Sign-up:
Cougar Invitational is THIS Saturday. Final day to sign-up is Wednesday at practice.
Sign-out:
New uniform jerseys are in production and will be delivered in a couple weeks. A "size request" sheet is being passed around. You will be issued a new jersey which will be numbered. Upon receipt, you will sign-out this item and be financially responsible for the maintenance and return of it at the end of the 2011 season. NO uniforms will be allowed to be kept "until next season". You may request the same number next year if desired.

Logo Wear Delivery Update
Please be sure that you are at practice on Tuesday the 15th to pick up your order.

Uniforms
All other athletes will have uniforms distributed next week.
All uniforms are numbered and you will be held responsible for the return of the item(s) either at the end of the season or once the new uniforms are received and distributed.
Please note: if you are NOT issued shorts, you will need to provide a pair of your own. You can either wear your WHS PE shorts or a pair of solid black shorts.
Please act responsibly with these items. If they are not returned, a debt slip will be issued through the school financial office.
Spaghetti Dinner
VERY SOON, every athlete on the team roster will be issued 5 tickets to SELL. Each ticket cost $6 and includes dinner & a soda (or water).
The deadline for selling the tickets and turning in the money is Thursday, April 21st. This is the last day of school prior to Spring Break. However, to expedite the sale & receipt of the funds, an incentive will be provided to the athletes. The first 50 who sell their 5 tickets & return their envelope with $30 will receive a WHS beanie.
Please be on the look out for the "ticket envelope" and sell, sell, sell!

- All team members are expected to treat the entire coaching staff with courtesy and respect.
- Team members are expected to attend every practice, every dual meet and every invitational they are entered in unless excused by the Head Coach.
- Any circumstance that prevents a team member from attending a practice or meet must be reported to the Head Coach as soon as the athlete knows that he/she cannot attend.
- All athletes are required to report all injuries to their event coach.
- Team members must realize that coaching decisions are made with the welfare of the team taking precedence over the desires of any individual team member.
- Violation of any team policy will be reviewed by the coaching staff and penalties will be assessed as the staff sees fit. If there are continuous minor violations (tardies, uniform, etc) the athlete will be dropped from the team.
- Athletes who quit the team or have been dropped, are expected to return any/all school issued equipment within 48 hours.
Athletes are expected to conduct themselves in a manner reflecting credit upon themselves, their coaches, their parents, and their school. It is expected that all athletes will act according to the high standards that are expected from all Washington High School students. It is, of course, impossible to identify and list all possibilities for the many infractions that could result in disciplinary actions in a sport contract. We have tried to specify as much as possible, but we are aware of the limitations. We expect our athletes not only to observe the team rules, but also to integrate the spirit represented by this contract. Athletes who cannot or will not manage this will be dropped from the team.
